Banana Smash Oatmeal
A delicious twist on oatmeal with roasted banana smash mixed in!
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 - 1/3 cup nut milk milk unsweetened
- optional: 2 tbsp chopped walnuts or other favorite nuts
- 1 medium ripe banana for banana smash
Instructions
- Prepare the Roasted Banana Smash recipe (see below)
- In the meantime, add the first 3 ingredients to a pot and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to a low boil and cook 5 minutes, or follow the instructions on the oat’s.
- Remove from heat and stir in the roasted banana smash, being sure to add all the sweet juices.
Roasted Banana Smash
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees f.
- Peel banana and place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Smash banana with a fork.
- Roast in a preheated oven for 12 minutes, or until lightly golden on top
Notes
For a Protein Boost: Mix 1 scoop of Whey or Vegan Protein and almond milk before combining all ingredients to make this a complete meal packed with carbs, protein, and fat!
